This blog deals with military history.

Now to paraphrase a friend, military history isn’t just about people getting shot. Military history (at least in my view) permeates every field and school of thought since man put one stone on another…which was shortly before another man kicked over the stones and a row broke out!

But in all seriousness, this page explores not just the guns, but also the gun wielders, their families and lives after war, small wars, women and their direct and indirect connections to the area. War unfortunately touches us all.

This page explores those touches.
